New Security Feature
The security of your personal and financial information has always been our top priority. We are now taking that security to the next level.

Here's how it works:

  • NetTeller will begin to monitor your login activity for an unspecified time period and establish a behavioral pattern.
  • During a random login, you will be prompted to answer three separate "Challenge Questions" from a list of varied questions (e.g., "What was the name of your first pet?"). Answers are not case sensitive.
  • In the future, if NetTeller detects a variation in your login pattern such as logging in from a different computer, your challenge questions will be presented to you. Correct answers to those questions will be required before you can access NetTeller.
  • It is important that you remember your answers. While they are not case sensitive, characters/digits must be an exact match.

IMPORTANT: You will be allowed three attempts to properly respond to your challenge questions. If you exceed your three attempts, you will be blocked out of NetTeller and will be required to contact the Bank at 1.877.362.0100.

If you request to have your entire security system reset (questions and answers), we must receive your request in writing along with proper identification. To protect you against identity theft, this policy will be strongly enforced.

Here are some other great safety tips for online banking that can help you reduce your chances of identity theft and unauthorized account access:

  • First National will never call or send an e-mail asking you for account numbers, passwords, challenge questions/answers or any other personal information. If you receive such a request by phone or e-mail, please call us at 1.877.362.0100 to verify before responding.
  • To identify any unusual transactions quickly, view your transaction history and images of paid checks online weekly between statement cycles.
  • Do not share your passwords with anyone.
  • Do not write down your passwords. If you do, make sure you keep them in a secure place where only you have access.
  • Do not save your passwords to your computer.
  • Use the "Exit" button on the right hand side of the NetTeller tool bar to log out completely and safely. This is especially important when you are accessing NetTeller from a public computer.

If you have any questions about these security features, please contact us or e-mail onlineservices@1nbank.com or call 1.877.362.0100 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST Monday through Friday.
